Patch Works started officially in 2002 because we noticed some people had lost their laughter. Of course the idea was marinading in 2001, but it took a while to figure out where our idea was taking us.

With that in mind, we go all over San Diego County, hanging out and having a blast so others can laugh again. What fun!

Mostly we go to retirement centers and nursing & assisted living facilities. But we have also gone to homeless shelters and fire evacuation shelters--basically anywhere people need to laugh again.

Of course, when word got out, other people wanted to help. So we did a really neat thing and became a non-profit organization. We have a nifty Tax ID Code and everything so people who support us get a tax break, too. Now that's cool! Now you can donate on-line in your jammies! Just use the button on the right.
